FRED ROGERS CENTER

The New Fred Rogers Center at St. Vincent College, Latrobe, Pa. made from indigenous walnut that was harvested on Chestnut Ridge and stored in the basement of the St. Vincent Basilica for over a hundred years. There was over 222 boards pulled from the basement through a window. The heaviest weighed about 130 lbs. The wood was used in it's original natural color to decorate the doorways, windows,, stairs and pillars of the center.
